Christmas shopping and events at Disney Springs

Christmas at Disney Springs Father Christmas

Combine your three favourite things: shopping, Disney and Christmas this year at the popular Disney Springs retail and dining area!

Disney Springs is the place to be over Christmas. Explore the four distinct shopping districts of The Landing, Marketplace, Town Center and West Side to pick up some gifts to take back home to your family and friends, or just treat yourself to some special seasonal souvenirs!

To get fully into the festive spirit, pay a visit to Disney’s Days of Christmas in the Marketplace where it is Christmas all-year round! The store is an Aladdin’s cave of all things Christmassy – with ornaments, stockings and Disney-themed decorations as far as the eye can see!

Take home holiday mementos featuring your favourite Disney characters to hang on your Christmas tree; if you want to make the memory even more special then why not get the ornament personalised by the talented staff in the store? Decorations don’t just celebrate Christmas, but important milestone events like weddings, so they can be a great gift with a difference! As it can take a little while to have your purchase personalised it might be sensible to visit the store early, before exploring everything else that is going on in Disney Springs this Christmas.

“This is a great store and my wife was in heaven! You can literally lose track of time looking at all of the ornaments. I love that they feature classic-style decorations, along with character ornaments, and nearly every size and colour under the sun! You step in and there is Christmas music playing too - a bonus in May! Plus it’s tucked away so it doesn’t seem to get crowded.”

Christmas shopping at Days of Christmas

For more Disney merchandise over the festive period don’t forget to pay a visit to the newly-updated World of Disney nearby in the Marketplace. Along with the California store, they are the first shops to offer the Disney Parks Holiday collection, featuring Christmas jumpers, fun headwear and festive homeware items, such as plates and bowls.

Take home the traditional smells of Christmas as you make your own scented candle at Bowes Signature Candles. There are plenty of essential oils, wax melts and natural soy candles with eco-friendly wicks for you to choose from, including special seasonal ranges, but you can also mix your own scent for a special gift or just as a treat for yourself!

2018 Christmas events at Disney Springs

Starting on 8th November and running through to 6th January 2019 are a number of special events at Disney Springs. You will be able to munch on yummy seasonal treats from the food and drink kiosks, as you take in all the seasonal sights, sounds and smells!

Stitch's Holiday Gift Hunt is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit and keep the kids entertained while you shop! Once you have picked up a Holiday Gift Hunt booklet which contains a map, stickers and clues at one of the participating Gift Hunt stops, you’ll have to visit each location, spot the hidden Stitch and match the present he is holding to the location on your map, which you then mark with your stickers. Once you have completed your booklet, you will be able to claim a festive prize at one of six redemption centres nearby.

Disney Springs Christmas

Take a walk through the winter wonderland of the Marketplace on the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail which is open daily from 11am to 11pm. The trail, complete with falling snow and festive music, leads you past 27 Christmas trees, which have been inspired by a different Disney character or theme!

“If you love Disney and Christmas then you NEED to come here. This is Disney tree HEAVEN! It’s a nice spot to get some photos on your Orlando holiday and best of all? It's free!”

This is the third year of this magical tree trail, so have your camera at the ready to snap your favourite ones and take inspiration for decorating when you get back home! Which of these trees do you want to see the most?

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without seeing the man in the red suit, Father Christmas himself! Between 8th November and Christmas Eve this year, Saint Nick and his helpers will be at Santa’s Chalet in the Marketplace, near to the Christmas Tree Trail. Between 11am and 11pm guests of all ages can take this jolly opportunity to meet and have photos with Father Christmas! To avoid queuing, leave your mobile number with one of his helpful elves, and they’ll text you when it’s your time to visit – leaving you more time to visit the shops, see the sparkling trees, or follow the clues in Stitch’s Gift trail!

If you are feeling in the festive spirit and are heading to Disney Springs this Christmas we’d love to hear from you – which tree in the Trail is your favourite and will you be decorating your home in a Disney theme this year?
