Harry Potter fans will have to be a bit more patient; Universal Resort will take 25-30 minutes to reach along the I-4 Highway. ChampionsGate Village is just a couple of miles away and this is where you can find a selection of family-friendly restaurants to try out. Guests staying on The Shire have access to West Haven community facilities which are located close to the entrance of The Dales, another of the small sub-communities here. These facilities include a clubhouse with TV lounge, fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool and tennis and volleyball courts.

The open-plan accommodation includes a formal dining table with 6 chairs, perfect for meals together or for sitting around in the evenings playing board games. Close to this is a quiet lounge area with a comfy sofa and armchairs, a great place to sit and relax with a good book. To the left of the formal lounge is the kitchen which has all the appliances, equipment and utensils you will need to prepare some tasty dishes for your family. The breakfast bar here is an ideal spot to enjoy snacks, drinks and chats whenever you want to. A smaller dining table is close by where you can plan your day ahead over a cup of tea in the morning. Bedroom 3 is the only bedroom on the ground floor, it is next to the downstairs bathroom and the formal dining area and has been furnished with a Queen-size bed. Bedroom 4 is upstairs opposite Bedroom 2 and has been furnished with Twin beds and decorated with a fun seascape theme which would appeal to younger family members. With a flatscreen TV in each bedroom, every guest gets the chance to watch their choice of programme as they grab an early night in preparation for further adventures tomorrow.
The games room offers plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including a pool table and a separate table tennis top that covers the pool table if you fancy a game of ping pong instead. The upstairs movie room also has a TV with games consoles and gaming chairs for video game fans. Further activities are at the West Haven clubhouse, a couple of minutes away at the entrance to The Dales. These facilities include a TV lounge, modern gym, swimming pool and volleyball and tennis courts.
After days exploring the rides and rollercoasters, head back home and relax outside in the warm Florida sunshine.
