KareKare Curl is a thrilling water slide at Aquatica Orlando that continues to operate and delight visitors as part of one of Orlando’s top family holiday destinations. Launched in April 2019, this high‑energy ride sends groups of 2–5 people down a twisting enclosed flume before launching them up a dramatic vertical wave wall, creating an exhilarating moment of “weightlessness” that’s perfect for adventurous teens and adults alike.
Named after the Maori word for “waves”, KareKare Curl stands between the park’s popular Omaka Rocka slide and the Big Surf Shores and Cutback Cove wave pools. Guests must be at least 48 in (1.22 m) tall to ride, and no single riders are permitted, so it’s an ideal shared experience for families.
- Talk about weightlessness. This is such a thrill and extremely fun. A definite MUST DO.
- KareKare Curl is a fantastic addition to the park. The slide itself is beautiful, the color scheme is very pleasing to the eye and really stands out. The views from the top of the platform are unbeatable; it provides great views of neighboring SeaWorld Orlando. It’s a short ride but it packs a VERY large punch.
Tips & Facts
- KareKare Curl is designed for two riders at a time. An advantage to being in a heavier duo, is the more you weigh, the higher you will go up the wall!
