Hot tub DOs and DON’Ts

• DO shower before getting in.
• DON'T use oils, soaps or any detergent in the water.
• DO make sure you brush dirt and/or grit off of your feet before entering.
• DON'T use glassware in the tub.
• DO try to keep usage to 15-minute spells.
• DON'T eat or smoke whilst in the hot tub.
• DO replace the lid when you are finished.
• DON'T try to fit in more people than are allowed.
• DO make sure there is an adult in the hot tub if children under 12 want to use it.

Difference between hot tubs and pool spas

You may notice that many of our villas come with a pool spa. These too are relaxing but function differently to a freestanding hot tub. The temperature of a pool spa can be a common misunderstanding and they tend to use the same heat as the pool, so are therefore not as warm as a hot tub.

With a hot tub the water is heated up and the temperature and power of the jets can usually be controlled to your desire. They are certainly an additional luxury to your holiday. We’ve chosen a few of our favourite villas with hot tubs below:

Indian Ridge Oaks 4 bed villa

With a relaxing pool deck and a well-equipped games room, this four bedroom villa sitting on the Indian Ridge community is the ideal choice for your family holiday to Orlando. Situated just off the I-4 and a short drive from the US192 means the Disney area is just a ten-minute drive away. A comfortable lounge area and great kids bedrooms are a couple of things this holiday home offers.

• Pool deck: Outside is a good-sized pool, a stand alone hot tub and covered outdoor dining seating four people. With plenty of patio space and a beautiful scenic view this villa is perfect for relaxing in the Florida sun.

• Entertainment: The games room located just off the kitchen is equipped with a pool table, arcade games, a TV and seating.

• Bedrooms: To the right of the family lounge is the Master bedroom with King-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom, which also has access to the pool deck. As you enter the villa, Bedroom 2 is on the right and has a Queen-size bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are both Twin bedrooms which have been beautifully decorated in Disney themes.

• Indian Ridge Oaks community: A peaceful community located between the I-4 and US192. This community has a mix of rental homes and residential homes and features a community pool, a children's play area, sports courts and has paved walking and jogging paths for your morning stroll or jog.

Windsor Palms 4 bed villa

Located just a few minutes away from the US192 in Kissimmee is this four bedroom villa with a southwest-facing pool deck, a separate hot tub and a well-equipped games room. With plenty of onsite community facilities and just a ten-minute drive to Disney, this villa is a perfect choice to meet the needs of the whole family!

• Pool deck: This villa offers some relaxing views of woodland and privacy to the rear, so you can properly unwind in the bubbles of the hot tub. Sunloungers surround the spacious pool deck and for those that have had enough of the sun, the villa also has a covered dining area.

• Entertainment: The air-conditioned games room is equipped with a pool table, air hockey, a flatscreen TV and seating so the whole family can enjoy the facilities during quieter periods of the holiday.

• Bedrooms: The Master bedroom and Bedroom 2 both have King-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are ideal for the kids as they have Twin beds with colourful cartoon duvet sets.

The Retreat on ChampionsGate 8 bed villa

This modern, beautifully-finished eight bedroom villa features a west-facing pool deck with standalone hot tub, a great games room and a cinema room with large projector screen. A wide variety of resort facilities suitable for all ages and a short drive from the Disney theme parks makes this home from home the perfect choice for all the family during your time in Orlando.

• Pool deck: This pool deck offers a good amount of patio space with plenty of sunloungers and seating, and a large covered area to shade from the sunshine. Alongside the pool is a freestanding hot tub for all to enjoy.

• Entertainment: The nicely decorated games room at the front of the villa is equipped with a pool table, air hockey, table football, flatscreen TV and seating. Upstairs, just off the additional family lounge, is a cinema room with a large screen and projector, cinema-style seating for seven people and a popcorn machine!

• Bedrooms: The Master bedroom with King-size bed has an en-suite bathroom and a door out to the pool deck. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have King-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom 4 also had a King-size bed. Bedrooms 5 and 6 have Queen-size beds with one of the bedrooms including an en-suite bathroom shared with one of the Twin rooms. Bedroom 7 and 8 both have twin beds. All bedrooms are beautifully decorated.

• The Retreat on ChampionsGate community: The Retreat is a large, resort-style sub-community, which sits within one the most popular destinations in Florida, ChampionsGate. There's plenty of amenities within the community grounds including a cinema, a full restaurant, swimming pools including a lazy river and water slides, a swim-up bar and sports courts. Disney theme parks are just 15 minutes from the community by car.
