Whether you are a novice or a dab hand, you can have a go at a variety of activities from all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driving to archery and fishing. So why not break away from the theme parks for a day, and explore the wild side of life in Florida at this 230-acre off-road adventure park just off the I-33?

“Tons of fun. The guides are really nice and take your safety very seriously but also let you have fun. I would certainly recommend. The preserve its located on is beautiful.”

The ATV Experience

Lasting around two hours (including a comprehensive safety course) you’ll need to be prepared to get muddy on the guided ATV Experience, which criss-crosses most of the 230-acre site, and encompasses mud holes, sandy tracks, grass and even small hills. With trails to suit all skill levels from novice to expert, you are bound to have a great time!

To ride the ATVs, drivers must be over 16 with valid photo ID; however, if you want to take under 16s out with you, book the ATV+ Experience instead. This is for drivers over the age of 18 who hold a valid driving licence and allows for passengers over the age of five to enjoy the experience as well.

Mucky Duck Experience

If you have a full driving licence and are over 18, another experience you could opt for is the Mucky Duck; an amphibious eight-wheeled vehicle that can tackle all types of terrain at the site! With space for up to three passengers, who can ride as long as they can sit unaided on a bench seat, this unique experience is suitable for all the family. As you drive around the site take in the views of the Florida countryside and watch out for the local wildlife!

The Myakka Tour

Another chance to take in the sights of the stunning surroundings is when you take a ride on the family-friendly Myakka Tour. This non-driving experience takes up to 20 passengers over the bumpy tracks and trails around the site, aboard a specially-adapted six-wheel army truck. Your tour guide will point out areas of interest, including an abandoned moonshine still. Watch out for local wildlife and keep your eyes peeled for any sign of the elusive Myakka skunk ape; a bigfoot-like creature that is said to roam the state!

“Be prepared to get covered in mud! An incredible experience from start to finish with very friendly and knowledgeable guides. They also take photos of your day, which are worth every penny!”

Clay Shooting and Archery

You’ll need good hand-eye coordination for the target sports on offer at the site - both clay shooting and archery.

If you have a competitive streak, why not try your hand at a spot of clay shooting? With up to five people (aged 18 or over) shooting at the same time, take careful aim as the targets whizz across the sky, and try to break as many of the 30 clays as you can! Don’t forget to make a reservation, and if you want, you can even buy additional shots and clays to extend your experience. Lasting around an hour this activity is suitable for both novice and experienced shooters, and includes comprehensive tuition from the site’s range professionals.

If you are looking for a more relaxed target shooting experience, archery might be right for you! Shooting at targets up to 90 metres away, this sport is suitable for those aged eight and above, so is great for family groups. You’ll receive instruction from the site’s qualified coaches across a 90-minute lesson as part of a small class, with a maximum of ten visitors on the range at the same time.

Trophy Bass Fishing

Enjoy the Florida sunshine as you turn your hand to a classic America pastime – trophy bass fishing! All fishing equipment and a suitable fishing licence is included in the cost, and this sport is suitable for anyone who can get on a boat unaided, though youngsters under ten have to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Take a boat out for four hours into the 65-acre man-made privately-owned lake and see if you can catch a larger bass than the current record of 14lbs! Then take a great photo with your fish for bragging rights back home, before releasing it into the lake. As you can see, there is sure to be something for everyone at Revolution Off Road if you are looking for an unforgettable experience on your trip to Florida.

“My wife and I took our 12 year old son to Revolution Off Road to ride the Mucky Duck. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He took us through the property on the unique vehicle. We drove through mud puddles, over obstacles and even across the 16 acre lake. Great family fun!”
