Barbecue in the Florida sunshine

Florida has some of the best weather for outdoor cooking - well it is known as the Sunshine State - so it makes sense to take advantage of the outdoor facilities, including the outdoor kitchen or barbecue if your villa has one!

Choosing a villa with an outdoor kitchen is a terrific feature for those that love to cook. Instead of eating out, save some money and spend some quality time together with a good old cookout.

Barbecue food can be bought from the local Publix or Walmart, which you should find within a short driving distance of your villa.

Bella Vida 6 bed villa

This spacious six bedroom villa with a good-sized pool deck and a nicely decorated games room, sits on the Bella Vida resort. Multiple lounges and TVs in all bedrooms means family members have their own space to wind down after busy days out exploring Orlando.

• Pool deck - The good-sized pool deck, with views of woodland to the rear of the property, has a pool and spa, a small kitchenette area with a built-in BBQ, a covered, outdoor dining table and a good amount of patio space to relax in the Florida sun.

• Entertainment - To the right of the kitchen is a great games room for all to enjoy. It includes a pool table, air hockey and seating.

• Bedrooms - All bedrooms are upstairs in this property. The Master bedroom, as well as bedrooms 2 and 3, all have a King-size bed and en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom 4 has a Queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 5 and 6 both have Twin beds and share an en-suite bathroom.

• Bella Vida community - This Italian-inspired resort sits just off the US192 and is home to many luxury villas and 15 acres of lakes. Facilities include a clubhouse, community pool, gym, children’s play area and sports courts. A Walmart supermarket is within walking distance and the Disney theme parks are a 15 minute drive away. Bella Vida is an ideal location to escape from the madness of Orlando.

Formosa Gardens 7 bed villa

This stunning seven bedroom villa on the Formosa Gardens estate has a home cinema, outdoor kitchen, gym, stunning bedrooms and plenty of space for the whole family. All of this in a villa that is within ten minutes of Disney!

• Pool deck - The west-facing pool deck offers a large covered dining area on one side of the villa and an even larger covered area on the other side. This second area has a corner seating area, fully functional outdoor kitchen with a barbecue grill, fridge, freezer and sink unit. There’s also a wall-mounted TV and a pool table, to keep everyone entertained. There are plenty of loungers for the whole family and space for everybody to enjoy themselves out on the pool deck.

• Entertainment - In addition to its two TV lounges, this house also offers a home cinema room with cinema-style seating for eight people, a library of over 300 films and popcorn-making facilities. An air hockey game and pinball machine is also in this room, although you won't be popular if you play either of these while the film is being watched! For the more energetic family members there is a fully-equipped gym with a treadmill, cycling machine, exercise balls, weights and a wall-mounted TV to watch your fitness instructor!

• Bedrooms - This villa has some great bedrooms. With three spacious King-size bedrooms there’s plenty of space for everyone here. There are two bedrooms with Queen-size beds too, a princess-themed bedroom with two Double beds and Bedroom 7 with Twin beds. Five of the bedrooms also come with an en-suite for extra comfort.

• Formosa Gardens Community - Formosa Gardens, built around 2003, is an exclusive gated development of extra large homes in what is often described as ‘the perfect location’. The bustling US192 is a mere two minutes away and Disney is about five minutes drive. The gated community of Formosa Gardens is acknowledged around the world as being one of the most prestigious communities for families holidaying in Orlando. The development consists of 133 stunning homes that are spacious and private, often offering multiple master bedrooms with great outdoor living facilities.

Formosa Gardens 9 bed villa

This modern nine bedroom villa with a west-facing, well-equipped pool deck, games room and cinema also sits on the prestigious community of Formosa Gardens. It’s the perfect holiday home for entertaining your family and friends.

• Pool deck - The large west-facing pool deck has views of a lake to the rear of the property. There is a pool with a spa on one side and a children’s splash pool on the other. An outdoor kitchen area which includes a grill with sink, bar area and TV with seating for six people is perfect for alfresco entertainment! There is plenty of space around the pool with further seating and loungers for relaxation and a poolside toilet for added convenience.

• Entertainment - Next to the dining room is a cinema room which has seating for ten people. Further entertainment can be found next to the lounge in the games room with air hockey, a flatscreen TV, arcade games machines and a door to the pool deck.

• Bedrooms - As you come into the villa the Master bedroom is situated on the left hand side with a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 also has a King-size bed, with French doors leading onto the pool deck and an en-suite bathroom. There are two sets of stairs, the first of which leads to Bedrooms 3, 5 and 6. These bedrooms share a balcony with seating. Bedroom 3 has a King-size bed, and Bedrooms 5 and 6 have Queen-size beds with en-suite bathrooms. The second set of stairs leads to Bedrooms 4, 8 and 9. Bedroom 4 has a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 8 and 9 are for younger family members - one has a Disney Cars theme with two sets of bunk beds, and the other has a Disney Princess theme with Twin beds. A bathroom sits in between these two bedrooms. Bedroom 7 is on the ground floor with a Queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom.
