Charley's Steak House Orlando

Since 1976, the family-owned Charley’s Steak House, named after founder Charley Woodsby, has been operating in Florida and serving up a unique dining experience to its many patrons, while priding itself on being a traditional steakhouse at heart.

With numerous awards under their belts at each of the three Florida restaurants, including the respected DiRōNA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) Achievement, expect a quality dining experience from Charley’s. Choose from a mouth-watering selection of traditional steakhouse dishes, pitted alongside some more unique speciality offerings!

The focus at Charley’s is on providing their diners with the highest quality beef available, with every USDA Prime (the top grade of beef certified by the US Department of Agriculture) and Choice (the second grade) cut aged on the premises for four to six weeks. Each steak is hand-cut by the restaurant’s management, specially seasoned for 30 hours and then flame-grilled on their custom-built 1200°F (649°C) pit, which is fuelled with Florida citrus and oak to give it a unique flavour. It isn’t just steak though that is cooked on the fire pit; chicken, sustainable fish and chops are all given the same cooking treatment!

With an extensive menu you won’t know what to choose! The menu is listed online, for each of the restaurants.

Why not take a bite of the Wild Florida Gator for your starter at $15? Crispy fried, it is served up with horseradish aioli, and you can’t get produce much more local! For something a little lighter, maybe the Crispy Portabella Mushroom Fondue would appeal, before you fill up on your main meal!

The steak is the main focus on the menu, with** Filet Mignon**, 20oz T-bone and 24oz porterhouse being popular choices, all cooked on the wood-burning pit. Other alternatives include the Flame Broiled Double Chicken Breast, Pork Chops, or a selection of freshly-caught fish which are flown in daily, including the Gulf Black Grouper and Atlantic swordfish.

For dessert, if you still have room, then why not try the Grand Marnier Double Chocolate Cake, which is indulgently infused with orange liqueur! If you don’t like chocolate, then the traditional crème brûlée or Key lime pie might appeal; there’s sure to be something to tempt your taste buds!

Don’t forget to treat yourself to a cocktail while you wait! Charley’s Signature Martini is served up with Applewood Steakhouse Bacon and Blue Cheese Stuffed Colossal Olives, while the fruity and refreshing Mixberry Lemonade includes strawberry vodka, freshly-squeezed lemonade, blackberries and mint! The cocktail menu is changed seasonally to reflect the fresh fruits available, and is definitely worth checking out!
