Enjoy a 4th of July Party in Orlando

It’s no secret that America enjoys a good party, and there are none better than the annual Independence Day shindig, which also offers our visitors a wonderful chance to experience the full razzamatazz that goes with these big occasions.

The 4th of July is a historic date that brings out the best in these community-orientated events, and you will find it being celebrated with parades, barbecues, live music and – especially – fireworks. It is one big jamboree, and everyone is invited!

With that in mind, we thought we’d highlight all the different events that are happening in and around Orlando for this year’s celebration, especially those that have extra interest for visitors to Central Florida.

4th of July in Orlando The Theme Parks

Each of Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Orlando and LEGOLAND Florida all stage impressive celebratory shows to mark the Independence Day vibe, so you won’t be short of something to see if you want to stick to your theme park schedule.

Star-spangled spectaculars are a Disney tradition, as a result of Walt’s deep love of America and faith in the country. That is reflected today in the huge “Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” fireworks extravaganza which will be performed at 9.20pm on both July 3 and 4 over and around the Magic Kingdom. It includes pyrotechnics around the Seven Seas Lagoon for a stunning display of firework magic. At EPCOT, The “Heartbeat of Freedom” show kicks in at the end of the evening’s 9pm showing of the regular Luminous: Symphony of Us fireworks on July 4. This features fireworks launched around World Showcase for a true blockbuster finale.

SeaWorld 4th of july Florida

Universal Orlando invites guests to join in the Independence Day festive fun at Universal Studios Florida, where there will be character meet-and-greets and a live DJ at the Universal Music Plaza Stage, plus a special pyrotechnic show near Transformers: The Ride. Universal CityWalk will feature live music, dancers, stilt walkers and a live DJ at various locations, including the Waterfront Stage, Plaza Stage and Promenade, while newest park Epic Universe will add to its Cosmos Fountain night-time finale with its own special tribute.

Over at SeaWorld, expect a dazzling extra show as part of their Summer Spectacular programme, with an additional firework and drone performance over the park’s central lake, including inspiring music synced to beautiful pyrotechnics in celebration of America. View from the Bayside Stadium or find a spot along the water. Either way, this event will bring the red, white and blue to you!

Not to be left out, LEGOLAND pitches its celebration with kids in mind, offering a bricktastic burst of fun with Red, White & BOOM! Families can enjoy star-spangled activities, an awesome DJ Dance party, and an unforgettable firework show that explodes into 3-D LEGO bricks thanks to the special glasses given out on site.
