Overview
There’s an ocean of fun and adventure to be explored at this marine-life theme park. Experience one-of-a-kind attractions and thrilling rides, including the tallest and longest roller coaster in all of Orlando! Take a seat at one the sensational animal shows and enjoy up-close encounters with the sea’s most extraordinary creatures.
One of the first areas you come to is an area designed to represent the Florida city of Key West, with landscaping and architecture typical of the region. Animals that can be seen in this section of the park include stingrays, turtles, manatees, flamingos, pelicans, alligators and of course dolphins. Guests can also have the opportunity to feed the animals at the Stingray Lagoon and Dolphin Cove.
Pay a visit to the newest area at the park; Sesame Street and meet with all of your Sesame Street friends in a world of interactive play, new rides and fun entertainment! Seek out famous Sesame Street landmarks such as Mr Hooper’s Store, the stoop at 123 and Big Bird’s Nest! Built on the former site of Happy Harbor, you are invited to come and meet the new neighbours and play with all of your furry Muppet Street friends, including Cookie Monster, Elmo and Abby.
The Wild Arctic indoor section includes a motion simulator helicopter journey as well as animal exhibits featuring polar bears, beluga whales and penguins. The area has an arctic exploration base camp theme including a sunken ship. This is a good place to go in the middle of the day when outside temperatures are at there hottest. During the Christmas period, the Wild Arctic becomes the Polar Express Experience based on the popular Tom Hanks movie.
The Waterfront area has been built to represent a Mediterranean seaside village, complete with shops, restaurants and a pearl diving exhibit.
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguins is a wonderfully themed area at SeaWorld, and features a first-of-its-kind motion-based trackless ride featuring live penguins.
For pure entertainment and comedy value the Clyde and Seymour show at the Sea Lion & Otter Stadium is a must see and it really is worth getting there half an hour before the show starts to see the comedy antics of the crew.
Other shows include performances at the Whale & Dolphin stadium, the Pets Ahoy show featuring cats and dogs at the Seaport Theater, a Cirque du Soleil production at the Nautilus Theater, Makahiki Luau, a Polynesian dinner show and a seasonal firework show on the park's central lagoon.
Thrill seekers will enjoy the rides at SeaWorld including Kraken, Manta and Journey to Atlantis.
