Staying on a gated community in Orlando

gated communities in Orlando

Enjoy the benefits of the extra security and privacy when you stay at one of our villas on a gated community! We have over 500 holiday villas on 46 different gated communities in Orlando, which means you have many options for your stay!

Having a villa on a gated community is a popular preference for many of our customers, as they desire an area that is comfortable and safe whilst away. All customers staying on one of these communities will be provided with a numerical code, a card or a disc which must be on display within the rental vehicle. These communities usually have manned gates too, in case you ever have any problems getting in.

Ordering a takeaway to your villa on a gated community will not be a problem too. Delivery drivers have access to these communities so there is no need to worry about your food not arriving.

The amenities on these communities do vary, from a relaxing stay surrounded by nature, to a community with plenty of resort-style facilities, keeping the whole family entertained. Whatever you desire, there is sure to be a community perfect for your stay.

Do I need to stay on a gated community?

This is a common question we hear from our customers. Many people do believe that a gated community is not necessarily needed, as there is very little difference between gated and non-gated neighbourhoods in Orlando. It generally depends on the preference of the customer.

Although we have a wide range of villas on gated communities, you will obviously have more options if you broaden your search to non-gated areas, so we wouldn’t disregard these straight away.

“Pick the villa that suits you and your family, but don’t necessarily limit yourself to gated communities.”

Non-gated communities provide an opportunity to experience the American lifestyle too, as you’ll be staying amongst local residents. For example, the stereotypical school bus, seen only by the UK in American films and TV shows, suddenly becomes real as it pulls onto your community, sometimes well before 8am to pick up local school children. With a greater number of local residents in these areas, this to some extent replaces the security guards seen at the gated communities. Non-gated areas are very neighbourly, with some saying they feel just as safe staying here because of this.

“Stayed on a non-gated community in July and felt perfectly safe. It was lovely being amongst 'real Americans’ instead of in a tourist area.”

If you would like more information about our communities, you can visit the community page on our website. Please give us a call on 01892 836822 if you do need any more help with choosing a community and we will be happy to go through the options with you.

Here’s a look into some of our gated communities, should you wish to stay on one:

Lake Berkley gated community (Kissimmee)

Lake Berkley gated community

The beautiful Lake Berkley, situated in Kissimmee, is a small community with 66 town homes (three and four bedrooms) and 172 villas (between three and seven bedrooms). Community facilities include a swimming pool, gym, sports courts and peaceful BBQ and picnic areas beside the lake. With three lakes on the community, wildlife is in abundance, including hawks, turtles and even the occasional alligator! A wide range of shops and restaurants are within a few minutes drive and Walt Disney World can be reached in approximately ten minutes.

“I would just like to say what a fantastic time we had in Florida. The view from the villa was beautiful; overlooking a small lake, which had quite a few different species of birds and also turtles. The Lake Berkley complex was very private and had excellent security.”

Overall, gated communities are a great option for those wanting to stay somewhere more private and secure. If you’re wanting to broaden your villa search then we would recommend looking at non-gated communities as well, with some also including many of the amenities found on a gated community.
