Where To Get A Great Steak In Orlando

Where to get a Great Steak

When the idea of a big, juicy steak is really appealing, Orlando has a fantastic selection of restaurants ready to feed your need for prime beef. But where should you go for that really memorable meal and a truly great T-bone, rib-eye or filet?

Here at Debbie’s Villas, our staff are always on the lookout for the best restaurants for this particular delicacy as we know it’s something many UK visitors are keen to enjoy while they’re in Florida.

With that in mind, we’ve put our heads together to come up with a definitive list of stonking steaks, from remarkable rib-eyes to perfect porterhouses. We classify them under Budget, Moderate and the Crème de la Crème, to suit all holiday bank accounts.

Budget Steak Restaurants

Manny’s Chophouse

Regular visitors will need no introduction to Manny’s on Highway 27 in Haines City. This humble roadside diner is renowned for its extensive and well-priced steak-heavy menu that delivers terrific value for money in a fun, lively atmosphere. Check out our villas on Southern Dunes if you want to stay close to this restaurant.

Tony’s Brazilian Grill

When you’d like a bit of Latin flair with your sirloin, head for this International Drive favourite just south of the Orlando International Premium Outlets shopping centre. Affordable is their middle name, but the food punches way above that humble description, especially as they offer both buffet and á la carte menus.

Miller’s Ale House

Sports fans will be very familiar with this popular local chain and, while they offer a terrific array of classic bar/diner fare, they also feature some succulent – and well-priced – steak platters, including a delicious centre cut sirloin for just $16.99. Also watch for their Thursday prime rib special at $15.99. Guests staying on Windsor Hills or Emerald Island are very close to a Miller’s Ale House on the US192.

Moderate Steakhouses

Saltgrass Steakhouse

Returning to tourist-centric International Drive, Saltgrass is hard to miss opposite ICON Park and offers a dedicated steak menu that features several mouth-watering varieties, notably a whopping 21oz bone-in ribeye. Visit at lunch and prices are closer to budget territory.

A Land Remembered and Saltgrass

Longhorn Steakhouse

This hugely successful national chain has no fewer than eight venues in the greater Orlando area, all with an upmarket style but without the top-end prices. Their ‘Legendary Steaks’ include a truly superb signature porterhouse, plus several combos with shrimp or lobster. Delish! Guests staying on Emerald Island , Paradise Palms or Windsor at Westside will not have far to go for their nearest Longhorn restaurant.

Rodizio Grill

Relatively new on I-Drive and also with Brazilian steakhouse style, this smart restaurant showcases a sumptuous array of rotisserie-grilled meats featuring thin-sliced cuts of juicy steak that melt in the mouth and come with an all-you-can-eat deal for a bargain $44.99/adult.

Crème de la Crème

A Land Remembered

When you’re ready to push the boat out or have a special occasion to celebrate, head for the glamorous Rosen Shingle Creek Resort on Universal Boulevard, where A Land Remembered is the feature golf club restaurant and their steaks are utterly divine.

Shula’s Steakhouse

Another more formal restaurant, Shula’s – in the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort – is WAY up in our list for its legacy steak menu that features Prime, Dry-Aged and Wet-Aged cuts of bravura beef, including their Herb-Crusted Prime Rib that comes with Yorkshire pudding!

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle

This national chain can be found in some of the swankiest locations in the country, and is now on I-Drive (opposite Pointe Orlando), where their eye-catching two-storey building is home to state-of-the-art bars, outdoor patio, private dining rooms – and absolutely heavenly steaks.

Del Frisco

Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster

Located just north of downtown Orlando on Lee Road, Christner’s is the locals’ choice for a magnificent dining experience. Distinctly traditional, it is rare in having a formal dress code, but it is totally worth it for the high-quality of all their meats, including an Angus Bone-In Filet that is to die for.

Bull & Bear

Find an upscale hotel, and you will find a great restaurant that caters to serious meat eaters. Such is the case at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, where the revered Bull & Bear offers a sumptuous menu highlighted by arguably THE greatest steak in town: the gargantuan Tomahawk Ribeye for two (at a princely $170!).
