New Firework Show at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Magic Kingdom

There is non-stop fun to be had for the whole family at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney’s take on a classic Halloween celebration, which is set to run on select nights all the way through to 1st November at Magic Kingdom in Florida! This is a specially-ticketed event, not included as part of the standard admission and begins at 7pm, after the park has closed.

This year’s event brings back many of last year’s favourites, including the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Boo to You Halloween Parade and the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet, but for this time round they have introduced a new show which is sure to light up children’s imaginations as well as the skies over the park! Marvel as Cinderella Castle is transformed by lasers, lights and fireworks in Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular, which tells a story featuring iconic Disney characters, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck, as they are whisked away to a haunted house occupied by ghoulish ghosts, bone-rattling skeletons and famous Disney villains such as Oogie Boogie, Hades, Ursula and the Queen of Hearts! The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Jack Skellington hosts this 12-minute extravaganza of colour, music and pyrotechnics, all rear-projected against the stunning backdrop of the famous castle. Will they escape in time? You’ll have to watch to find out, but you won’t be disappointed, as it has more than its fair share of Disney magic to entertain the crowds, every night the event is on, at 10:15pm!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

The famous Sanderson Sisters return to throw a party in 2019, Hocus Pocus style! Employing the talents of other Disney villains, you’ll watch as Winifred, Mary and Sarah cast a spell over Magic Kingdom with the help of dancing, special effects and some incredible visual projections.

Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet

For those who enjoy a sing-song, Frontierland once again plays host to the Cadaver Dans, a zombie barbershop quartet who entertain guests with their amazing voices, serenading guests with songs such as Ghost Riders in the Sky or The Headless Horseman.

Trick-or-Treating and Halloween Costumes

A kids’ Halloween event just wouldn’t be the same without a spell of trick-or-treating! Everyone is catered for here, as even those with allergies have been considered. Every child gets given a bag, with allergy-sufferers given a teal-coloured one. They take their sweets in their teal-coloured bags to the treat stations, where they can exchange them for teal tokens, which get traded in for something they can really sink their teeth into at the end! Also, as it is Halloween, dressing up as your favourite hero or villain is strongly encouraged! So why not shop around in the local gift shops for a costume to wear. Disney does offer advice on what is acceptable and what isn’t, but realistically, as long as what you are going as is family friendly, you are generally OK, but full-face masks and floor-length garments are strictly forbidden. For further guidance see the Disney website.

Mickey’s Boo to You Parade

Boo To You Halloween Parade at Disney World

Twice during this event of devilish Disney magic, you get the chance to watch Mickey’s Boo to You Parade, which begins near the entrance to the park, rolls through Main Street, USA and Liberty Square, before finishing in Frontierland with Clarabelle Cow leading a hoedown and Disney villains closing the show. Look out for your favourite Disney characters, such as Minnie and Mickey, The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope, as they are joined by a band of hitchhiking ghosts, and the Spectral Bride – new for this year – from the Haunted Mansion.

As with all Disney parades, it is always best to pick your spot early as people soon gather and it can make it very difficult to see, especially for the younger – or shorter – members of your party. With parades starting at 9:15pm and 11:15pm you can always get a second chance to see anything that you missed first time round.

Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party

Fancy watching all of this unfold from a fantastic high vantage point? Well, join the Dessert Party in Tomorrowland Terrace, and you can do just that, as you munch your way through treats such as strawberries dipped in chocolate, ice cream, cupcakes and other tempting goodies made for the event by a pastry chef. This is available for the whole family, with prices for children starting at $50 (plus tax), and adults $84 (plus tax). To book this you will need to call the Disney reservation line on (407) 407 939 1872 when in the USA , or 0800 028 0778 from the UK.

Cruella’s Halloween Hide-A-Way

If you are looking at adding a touch of glamour to your day, tuck into a sumptuous feast joined by Cruella De Vil herself, who graces you with her presence before you see the rest of the gang in action from your reserved seating area in the Boo-to-You Parade later on.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Walt Disney World

With all of this on offer it is sure to be a fantastic occasion whatever you choose to do, but please remember, as mentioned before, this isn’t included with standard admission tickets, so you will need to buy them separately.
